We are flattered that many times motorcycles we sell find their way back to our showroom and are made available for sale again. This is one of my personal favorites and happy to see it back, we sold it in January 2022 with 14381 miles. This Ducati red 2007 Ducati SportClassic Sport 1000S is a bit above the run of the mill Sport Classics. This Ducati Sport S is another special Ducati out of a good friend's collection of motorcycles. We have sold a dozen or so bikes from this collection and all have been bikes you just don't see everywhere. The bike's owner always starts with the best intentions for a new project, gathers all the bits and pieces, and enlists the best out there to help him build and pull together his latest pet projects. This Ducati was purchased used March 2011 with 14362 miles, luckily he was not too late and managed to also take advantage of Ducati's tank replacement program and had the new one Caswell coated.
Soon after purchase the motorcycle was crated and shipped off to the legendary DucShop in Atlanta. Mark is well known for his work on Ducati engines. The stock motor was removed, torn down, cleaned up along with soda blasting the heads, then balanced and blueprinted. All this work ran approx. $4900 For a little HP bump, a set of DP cams were installed, along with a set of DucShop Corse Dynamics air intake kits. The motor went back in the chassis, broken in properly on the Dyno and then tuned by Mark using a DP ECU and a PC5.

What we have now is a 2007 Sport S with a fresh motor, high-swept Ducati Performance dual Termignoni exhaust all properly tuned. It also has an upgraded set of fully adjustable Showa forks off of an S2R1000 and a rare set of Ducati Performance lowers in Red. The rest of the bike is in original condition, there are a few marks here and there as shown in the pictures. We performed a 2-year service in January 2022, @14381 miles which included timing belts and all fluids, along with a fresh set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires and tubes. This one is without a doubt one of the best running, smoothest Sport Classics we have played with in a long time. Stunning looks, super crisp throttle response, that Termignoni music and performance are all part of this package, don't hesitate long.
When it arrived around Christmas, we gave it another look over, found a small oil leak near the cam covers, pulled both covers off, and installed fresh vito o-rings, no more signs of any seepage after that. It is all set and ready to go to a new Ducatisti.

We have all the factory keys, owner's manual, service paperwork, and a clean WA title.

A little about DucShop Performance
Ducati engine building is Mark Sutton's specialty. With over 30 years of Ducati experience - four of which were with factory Ducati AMA Superbike teams - it makes him the most experienced Ducati technician in the southeast and one of the most qualified in the nation. Customers send their bikes or engines from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe for Ducshop to blueprint and prep for the road or track. Our Ducati's have a strong reputation, finishing 3rd in the Daytona 8 hour endurance race, many Daytona 200's on 848's and 3 Moto ST Championships with the DS1000 engine. A blueprinted engine will produce more power and last longer than a stock engine and anyone thinking of racing or doing track days on their Ducati should seriously consider the investment. When you get a street bike from Ducati it is assembled with very tight clearances so it is more likely to spin a rod bearing or wear other parts prematurely. Blueprinting will set the clearances closer to Corse specs as well as ideal cam timing, etc.
