This 1959 Triumph Bonneville T120 is Live on Bring a Trailer! Check out the Auction Here: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-triumph-bonneville-2-2/ This first-year Bonneville example is said to have been refurbished under prior ownership and repainted in its factory colors of Tangerine and Pearl Grey. Features include a two-up seat, a tank-top rack, folding passenger foot pegs, black rubber tank grips, a Lucas headlight and taillight, and both center and side stands. Wire-spoke 19″ wheels with chrome-plated steel rims are mounted with a 3.25″ Avon Speedmaster II tire up front and a 3.50″ Dunlop K70 tire out back. Suspension consists of a conventional telescopic fork as well as dual preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is provided by a drum at each end. The chrome handlebar is mounted through the headlight nacelle, which houses a 120-mph Smiths chronometric speedometer with a speed-to-gear indicator as well as an odometer and an ammeter. The five-digit odometer was reportedly rebuilt and shows 24 miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 649cc OHV parallel-twin is equipped with a kick starter, twin Amal Monobloc carburetors, and a chrome-finished dual exhaust system. The Lucas magneto is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership, and work in 2023 included replacing the six-volt battery and changing the engine and transmission oil. The engine number 026532 corresponds to the number stamped into the frame, photos of which can be seen in the gallery. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a right-side-shifted four-speed transmission and a drive chain.
